This thread discusses the video Quality problem. PLEASE help!

Re:Quality problem. PLEASE help! 1 year, 9 months ago #2

My guess is that you turned the video quality down, and all you have to do is go to settings and turn it back up again. (Then again, I don't even have Sony Vegas.)

Check your project settings and make sure that they are the correct resolution and all that and then in your render settings start from scratch with some new ones and tweak them, what do you usually render out in, 1080p, 720p or less?

I ussually do mp4 720p default template and the quality is usually pretty damn good

I downloaded the original .mp4 file and it has a file size of 12.6 MB. This seems way too small for a clip at 1:20 in length. Your bitrate looks to be around 1Mbps. For a 720p .mp4 file you will want your video bitrate at 6Mbps or more.
I would murder you 1v3 in GoldenEye 007

Yeah at the moment mine is a 8mps 1080p wmv but I will be experimenting with some settings before I render my next video, only takes around 30-40 mins to render a 3.5-5min video

Most cappers I know use a 13.5 bitrate.

Very true, I thought the capping was done and he was rendering out a video. Either way, Jordan's bitrate is way too low.

On a side note, if you are capping for editors, MP4 is not very ideal to edit. But if you are using a Hauppauge, I guess its your only option.

I love my intensity pro
The shuttle looks great to but you need usb 3.0 to really get the most out of it.
