Deff think this should be put into the works. Sounds liek a great idea and could deff get alot of attention to the site. Lando and mustang should deff think about these.

I'm all up for it, and this site definitely needs it, but maybe Halo 3 Comps have been exhausted? The H3F comp ends in a month or so and then we got the Reach beta. I dont know, Snowball and I have talked a little bit about it and we are willing to put up some cash and an Intensity card. The H3M community trailer/teaser comp is a pretty good idea though, assuming we can get a community video together. A trailer/teaser may give editors time to create something unique. We have seen a smorgasbord of Halo 3 videos for a few years now, originality is key.

Anyone willing to help with this and/or the community montage. We would need...
1) one or two editors for the community video
2) a "capturor", if the editors do not capture
3) bunch of clips (I would hope this to be no problem)
4) someone to create a nice logo for the comp

If someone would want to help organize this and maybe get a few editors on board? Any other ideas suggestions?...

And if all else fails, there is always Reach.

i think this is a great idea, and as lando said, we have been discussing this. i think the H3 montage is getting towards its end, but maybe this could be billed as the last great montage contest. if we could get some of the other comm site(HC,THI,Hawty ect) to co promote, we could possibly have the last great montage contest for H3 ,right in time to say goodbye,and bring in Reach. there are soooo many possibilities, i would like to see everyones ideas here on this Thread, so we can see how YOU would like to see a contest be hosted here at H3M. Give us tips, ideas,anything! i personally would like to see money for a 1,2,3 spot ,and have little cash prizes(examp 50$)for sub themes, machinima, best MLG gameplay,Best Trailer, most origional editing, most origional gameplay, Most multi-kill medals in a montage,ect. just like Fatality suggested. PLEASE!! leave anything you would like to see here!! i would def like to do this, so the more we know, the better we can prepare to start this thing!!!

I think I agree with AYS
but what I'd like to see is maybe atornament tree like THI did but a little more unique

step 1: Some one messgaes the contest judges (1 of 5)
step 2: judges give this person "trailer" clips that won't be in the final montage but still will be there.
step 3: All contestants make trailers and the top 3 are given the gameplay for the FINAL project which would be something like crisis.
step 4: The judges find 9 people with good gameplay and split them among the 3 final editors.
step 5: each editor makes a 3 minute video consisting of the gameplay from previously mentioned gameplayers.
step 6: Every member (new and old) can vote on their favorite part (1, 2, or 3) - judges votes count for more
step 7: 3rd place gets something small
2nd place gets something
1st place gets that capture card and the prize money, not to mention fame.

as well I'd actually like to volentere for an judgeing position if possible
