TOPIC: Virgin Gaming (yes the name is a fail) Halo Comp

Virgin Gaming (yes the name is a fail) Halo Comp 1 year, 10 months ago #1

I just found out about this Virgin Gaming thing and I know that you some of you guys wanted to get competitive so why not do it with prizes involved.

virgingaming.com/halo-tournaments.html

This is the link to the Halo part of the site so you don't need to search for it.

PS. Yet another fail and this time straight from the FAQ paage.
"Can I participate in multiple leaderboards?

All eligible Virgin Gaming users are able to participate in Halo 3, FIFA 10 and Madden 10 leaderboards for both consoles (Xbox 360 and PS3)."

Did someone port Halo 3 to the PS3 when I was asleep?

Yeah Virgin Gaming used to be worldgaming.com. We actually did this a while back http://halomontage.com/forum/2-h3m-forum/425

DeSteppi lost by one kill in the second round and won 20 bucks or something when he played. If anyone wants to play on the H3M account, let me know!

I know hey, the way the controller is for fps and everything, lol
we got one a few weeks ago actually and I played uncharted a little bit, the game is good I just didn't like the feel of the sticks when it came to the shooting parts.

I rarely play the PS, those sticks are in the worst position for a FPS. My thumbs constantly hit each other... designed for Japanese gamers with half inch thumbs.

I never wanted one but my dad has for a while, he broke his foot and bam, there was his excuse. It is funny though because all he plays is Tiger Woods 10, lol
It's funny though because now that I have used one my position on them is actually worse I mean wtf is with how bad the servers are for downloads and the monster updates pc style for games where the xbox equivalent gets a little patch in seconds for the same thing (with a few exceptions like the title update for halo and bad company 2). Speaking of updates I played gears of war 2 yesterday for some achievements and on the menu it said something about since title update 6! It only took me seconds (I had removed all updates since I played it last) to get them all and install, lol. I don't know what happens behind the scenes but it works.
And even more unrelated, are there any plugins you would recommend for programs like after effects?

Well, currently I do not use any plugins, but if I were I would start with the products from Boris FX... www.borisfx.com/. Although legit copies will cost a pretty penny. Also www.redgiantsoftware.com/ has some sic plugins like Trapcode Particular. Again these plugins often cost more than After Effects itself. For stock footage and video composites check out www.videocopilot.net (Action Essentials) and www.digitaljuice.com/ (Compositor's Toolkit)

Currently I do not have any of my editing programs legit... Honestly though I would pay if I had the money though and at the moment when I make videos they really are experiments and me trying to learn things myself. I have been to videocopilot before like most people using after effects and I have action essentials 2 and optical flares (I used optical flares in the intro for my beta montage actually as a test. The only tutorials I have used from anywhere though have been basics functions in after effects and am just experimenting from there. Sony Vegas however I haven't used anything, plugins, tutorials or anything. I downloaded the trial of premiere pro cs5 yesterday to mess around with as well.
Thanks for the links though I will check them out.
