Sic, it looks like it will also capture the audio in 5.1 surround unlike the card. I guess you will still need a raid setup for uncompressed video though.

It looks like it does, I think I am going to pick it up and see how it goes. You can get USB 3.0 adapters for a desktop or laptop. I think it would be a good way to share the cost of capturing clips.

This is just what I have been waiting for an external HD capture card.

Or an ssd lando, get with the times. They have 200mb/s write speeds.

It looks really nice, but i wouldn't sell my desktop because it won't run on an laptop
