TOPIC: New Capture Device

New Capture Device 1 year, 10 months ago #1

Check out this Black magic external USB 3.0 device. HDMI and component inputs. I may sell my desktop and get a mega laptop... and still probably not make a montage.

Sic, it looks like it will also capture the audio in 5.1 surround unlike the card. I guess you will still need a raid setup for uncompressed video though.
I would murder you 1v3 in GoldenEye 007

I am going to plug the card directly into the raid and hope for the best.

Doesn't the shuttle need a USB3.0?
I'm fine with my intensity pro for now

It looks like it does, I think I am going to pick it up and see how it goes. You can get USB 3.0 adapters for a desktop or laptop. I think it would be a good way to share the cost of capturing clips.
