Maybe next time There's way too much effects. There's a lot of sweet kills that you can't even see because of the tilting and bluring and color correction. Good luck next time. Props to snowball for his sweet skills. |

critques aren't your enemy It's like you took EVERY effect you knew of and put it in this montage. The game play is awesome, but the editing is over the top. And to respond to AYS's comment, you can't expect to put something on the internet and not have it critiqued. Not everyone here is going to spew out rainbows and sunshine for this montage. Nobody was outright bashing it, but some people said the same thing I'm saying, that it's a little too much on the effects and fast cuts. Some of it is good, very good in fact, but other parts are just hard to watch and the effect that's happening doesn't make sense. The only way to get better is by experience, learning from your mistakes and critiques from others |

I would say this was amazing... but it wasnt there was just too much editing to follow what the hell was going on, to be honest it woulda been better without editing or just a little bit of it because its ridiculously stupid to follow whats happening, apart from that though some clips were good. btw dont go thinking i cant follow it cause im 40 im not im 17 so i think i can follow many bright flashy things |

MMM...... very nice gameplay. ive seen a lot of montages and many of them have too much editing and unnecessary effects, this one has a lot but they were nicely done. the DJ scratches applied to the video was amazing. nice touch. only thing i didnt like was all the multi kills with shoty. other than that, amazing montage. ... im glad everyone is commenting, i like to hear all your opinions. Now about the editing, Hazmat wanted to do something different and out of the ordinary. Something a little insane. So when he did the 2nd song (Styles of Beyond) he went all out and synced all the beats , and added rewinds to the scratches and added flashes of kills to come and so much more. I will admit , when you first see it, you're like holy fuck, what just hit me? But after watching it a few times in a row, then you start to make sense of everything. I watched it for like the billionth time today and just saw ranked extermination on Gaurdian (6:32) that i had never seen in it before. If you like it, great. If its not your style, then thats cool, we cant please everyone. Its apples and oranges, take it for what it is. |

Great... I Guess Honestly I though the gameplay was great, and the editing awesome. However, there was way too much editing, seriously. I could hardly tell what whas going on, I really wanted to know HOW the multikills happened, not just SEEING the medals then quickly transferng to the next clip. |

for your information i know its late but just to let you guys know the second song with all the zombies and shotguns was a seperate video in its own if you look on my youtube account the video ends after the undead song and goes to credits the second song was a bonus video for the members of halo3montage.com it was all the footage that did not make the original video but i wanted to include it some how and thats what i did. Thank you Ruler Thanks for your comment. HAZMAT is 100% right with what he said. He wanted to give somthing back to the H3montage community, somthing only available here. Hence the second half of this video, Styles of Beyond .. And we mostly hear how lame it is. i know anytime you put somthing in the public spotlight, you'll always have criticism. But i think some of you are being a bit unappreciative. How many tages have you seen with that many affects? Have any of you haters thought of the time it took to do all that?? How Many hours Haz slaved away at his comp making somthing unique and memorable just for you?? Every montage has multi-kills and sticks. For the first time i saw a montage with some guy throwing a stick off a bubble shield the other day. That looked familiar. ive been doing that since my second montage a year ago. You wanna see the greatest multi kills? Go watch Kampy's 4th montage, its the best one ive seen. My point is that its all been done before, and now H3 montages are starting to become more about how they are presented. This one was presented a bit different. So appreciate it... |
